About us

Bishop Charles Kwalia

I was born on 5th April 1965, in a remote area near Mt. Elgon, to a humble family that faced financial struggles. Despite the hardships, I managed to reach Form Two in my education. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, I couldn’t continue my studies, but a stroke of luck led me to join the Kenya Defence Force (KDF).

Life took a dark turn during my time in the military. I lost sight of what truly mattered, indulging in reckless behavior and squandering my earnings on worldly pleasures. However, everything changed on a significant day – 20th November 1989. A friend invited me to a crusade led by Rev. Wairimo Nelson at Uhuru Park in Nairobi. During the event, a prophetic message spoke directly to me, urging me to serve God. At first, I resisted, but a life-threatening incident in the North Eastern province opened my eyes to a profound vision.

In this vision, I saw a map of Africa, and a voice called me to pray for other African countries. Despite my initial reluctance, the calling persisted, leading me to seek guidance from Pastor Margaret Wanjiro of Jesus Alive Ministry. From that moment, my life transformed. I embraced forgiveness, repented of my sins, and discovered a renewed purpose in serving the Lord.

INTRODUCTION

A message of hope from Bishop Charles Kwalia

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

I am a man transformed by God’s mercy. Once a soldier, now a servant of Christ, I live with a renewed purpose—to bring light, healing, and hope to the forgotten and vulnerable in my community.

In Matumbei village, on the slopes of Mt. Elgon, I pastor a church and lead Face Of The Lamb Ministries International. Our region is deeply affected by poverty, illiteracy, and harmful cultural practices like Female Genital Mutilation (F.G.M.). Yet, God has given me a vision: to reach the unreached and restore the broken.

Today, I care for:

  • 423 totally neglected orphans,

  • 24 rescued girls who escaped F.G.M.,

  • And 96 elderly individuals who have no family to care for them.

These are lives marked by abandonment and pain—but through Christ, we offer them safety, love, and dignity.

Our Vision

By faith and through your partnership, we are working to establish:

  • A Children’s Home for the orphans

  • A Rescue and Recovery Center for girls affected by F.G.M.

  • A Community Counseling and Prayer Center

  • A Medical Clinic to meet urgent health needs

  • A Home for the Elderly to restore dignity in old age

  • A Modern Christian School to raise up educated, godly leaders

Each day is a challenge, but also a testimony. The orphans and elderly we care for are not statistics—they are souls dearly loved by God. They are the future of the church, of families, and of the Kingdom.

Our Call for Partnership

We are grateful for the support already given—especially by our beloved President, Dr. Rev. Captain Buddy Bizzill, and all who have stood with us in prayer and provision. But the need remains great.

If you feel led, we invite you to:

  • Pray with us

  • Give generously

  • Visit and serve with us

  • Help us build and expand this mission of mercy

Your kindness will echo for generations to come.

Let us join hands to bring hope where there was despair, and raise leaders where there was loss.

May God bless you richly for your compassion and obedience to His call.

With sincere gratitude and prayers,
Bishop Charles Kwalia

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide hope, love, and support to vulnerable children who have lost their parents to HIV/AIDs-related diseases. We are determined to be a beacon of light in their lives and offer them a chance for a brighter future
